Born in Mexico, Alex lived with a fire in his heart and a playful spirit that could brighten any room. He was a man who knew no stranger, always striking up conversations with anyone who crossed his path. Whether you were a new face or family, you were bound to hear about his pride and joy—his children, Brandon, Dani, and Andrew, and their spouses, Stephanie, Matt, and Katie. He loved each of them deeply, and his grandchildren, Gabi, Ceci, Remy, and the soon-to-arrive grandchild, had him wrapped around their fingers.
A competitive water skier (Zovek), engineer, and master tinkerer of computers and machines, Alex found joy in all things mechanical. He believed in focusing on the best things in life and letting the small stuff slide. His lighthearted spirit came alive in the laughter of others, especially when he playfully forced you to agree on how good-looking he was.
He was there for every milestone—every basketball game, school play, and family gathering—and loved filling his home with friends and loved ones. His gatherings were legendary, filled with house music, good food, and the warmth of togetherness in his peaceful Colorado yard. And if you ever heard a loud "Espinosa!" ring out at the shooting range, you knew Alex was in his element.
Alex left this world with peace in his heart, knowing his children were successful, kind, and loved—as he’d always hoped. In his final moments, he was surrounded by the people he loved most, just the way he would have wanted. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, endless love, and the freedom to live life your own way. His family will thrive because he showed them true and unconditional love—a love that could span lifetimes and will forever bond them.
If Alex were here, he’d tell us he’s doing just fine, remind us not to stress, and encourage us to have fun.
